Today is Day 30 of Gwen Bell’s Best of 2009 Blog Challenge and I just couldn’t pass up this opportunity to share my favorite advertisements of 2009.
I had three faves of the year:
#3 I love the latest Nike ad with Lance Armstrong. It gave me inspiration for my maraton and it makes me well up everytime I see it, but it didn’t make me go out and buy Nikes.
#2 I also fell madly in love with the Prius commercial, Harmony, with all the various aspects of nature coming to life, and thought to myself, how in the WORLD did they shoot this? I researched and found THIS short documentary on how they shot it. But regardless of how much I loved it, I didn’t go out to buy a Prius.
#1 MY FAVE commercial of the year is the latest Dr. Pepper commercial, which made me laugh, wish I was a house party AND made me run out and buy a Dr. Pepper.

I loved the Harmony ads! Some of my friends thought they were a little creepy… something about all the arms and fingers… so I had to stop hanging out with them.

Thanks for posting the link to the documentary on the prius commercial. I love that commericial and have been so curious about how they pulled it off. That would have been a cool production team to be on, eh?
