my sock drawer needs an intervention

I have admitted many an embarrassing thing on this blog of mine, like the time I farted on a potential date’s message machine, or the fact that I have a gold tooth. But this video, a response to Mama Kat’s vlogging prompt of ” Show us the most problematic area of your house,” could possibly be the most embarrassing thing I’ve put out on the interwebs.

Truth be told, it was hard for me to decide what area of my house to feature since I have MANY problematic areas of my house because good housekeeper I am not. But this one little area of my home, featured above, wins the prize for MOST problematic. If you are a neat freak, this video might just scar you for life, so be warned. Hopefully, however, most of you can relate at least a little bit.  Please tell me you can relate. Please.

I just leave the socks in the laundry basket… until I get completely frustrated digging through the basket every morning to find socks for the kids. I tried to get my 7yo to fold them for me, but she was all, “this is hard.” Yeah. That’s why I want you to do it.

Please, we’re moms. We have no time to sort socks! Mine are all in the drawer unmatched too. Well, come to think of it, my socks were like that before I was a mom.

I have OCD, but hate matching my socks. SO there is a large laundry basket in my living room with all the socks, till I will myself to match them. So you are not alone at all.

Everyone has areas like that in their house, right? Thanks for being so honest!
