Disclosure: I used to work for LEGOLAND® California as the Entertainment Supervisor many, many years ago, and still do some freelance work for them. Also, I did receive free entrance into the Park last week, nevertheless, the opinions stated here are my own, and BTDubs, I LOVE LEGOLAND!
A few days ago, my daughters and I attended a blogger event at LEGOLAND® California’s Holiday Snow Days. The weather was perfect: just cold enough to feel like we should be in snow, enjoying some hot cocoa, yet warm enough to feel the sun on our faces and take off our scarves and hats.
Considering I have only been in the snow a few times in my life, I love the fact that my So Cal born & raised kids will have an opportunity to feel and experience snow at such a young age. The entire Fire Truck ride is covered in snow and dedicated to snow play for the kids.
One side is all about snow play: building snowmen and throwing snow balls (at targets, not siblings!). The other side, is a revved up version of the sledding they had last year. Now it’s a full tube ride which is totally tubular (forgive my 80’s reference—I couldn’t resist). The hills aren’t too steep or too long, so it’s perfect for even beginning tubers, but they move fast, so be prepared to knock into the padded wall at the bottom of the hill. All of the moms rode down with their kids and squealed even louder than the youngins.
Be sure to check out the GLEE-esque Jingle Jammers who will get you right into the holiday spirit and don’t leave without trying the bratwurst and mashed potatoes from the food truck. Oh, and if you want an adult beverage on your way out, be sure to stop into the hotel’s Skyline Café for happy hour.
The best news of all is that Holiday Snow Days park hopper tickets are only $65.00 so don’t delay and get yourself some tickets today! It truly is a perfect way to get into the holiday spirit.
Now hurry up and enter to win a 4 pack of LEGOLAND California tickets. I have 2 sets to give away before Christmas Eve. Boom!
